The Golden Bough

The Golden Bough is an experimental dinner series inspired by the Pagan Calendar.

The first of the series,The Golden Bough No.01 – Exploring Inner Light with Lupercalia, took place in mid-February 2024. Guests were immersed in an extraordinary evening seamlessly blending the richness of tradition with the excitement of novelty.

In February, participants were invited to partake in a mesmerizing sensory feast celebrating the festival of abundance and light, drawing inspiration from the Wheel of the Year*. They experienced the magic of The Golden Bough No.01: Exploring Inner Light with Lupercalia, a meticulously crafted dinner honoring the rhythms of the Pagan calendar.

Guided by the cadence of the Pagan calendar, February encouraged guests to delve into the essence of the root chakra, grounding themselves and exploring the intricacies of touch. They embarked on a journey of rediscovery as forgotten traditions were intricately woven into the tapestry of contemporary lives. Together, attendees shaped their destinies by rekindling their connection with sustenance and harvesting timeless wisdom from days gone by.

This edition of The Golden Bough was a jubilant ode to self-love, exalting in appreciation, intimacy, and a buoyant outlook. Participants joined in a journey of self-discovery, delving into the harmonious equilibrium of self-love through modern purification rituals and the art of relishing each mouthful.

The event was an opportunity to embrace the splendor of February and etch enduring memories in the annals of time.

* The Wheel of the Year is an annual cycle of seasonal festivals, observed by a range of modern pagans, marking the year's chief solar events (solstices and equinoxes) and the midpoints between them.
